Kiev, July 10, Interfax - Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko met with the Constantinople Patriarchate delegation to discuss questions related to the celebrations of the 1020th anniversary of Russia's Baptism.

He stated that this date is extremely important event for Ukrainian society and expressed hope that festival events would contribute to consolidating processes in Ukrainian Orthodoxy, Yushchenko's press-service has reported on Wednesday.

The celebrations of the 1020th anniversary of Russia's Baptism will be held in Ukraine from July 10 to the mid-August.
