BELGRADE -- The overall health of the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC), Patriarch Pavle, deteriorated over the weekend.The SPC's public relations service made the announcement yesterday.
Patriarch Pavle, 93, has been receiving treatment at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade since November 10.
A team of VMA doctors said that the patriarch had a fever characteristic of respiratory and urinary infection.
He is receiving the corresponding therapy and his condition will continue to be monitored, the doctors said.
